Joanna Shalleck-Klein, Allon Kedem

Joanna
Shalleck-Klein and Allon Shmuel Itzhak Kedem were married June 30 at
Woodend Sanctuary, an events space owned by the Audubon Naturalist
Society in Chevy Chase, Md. Rabbi Adam N. Rosenwasser officiated.
Ms.
Shalleck-Klein, 36, is a lawyer in the Office of Enforcement of the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington. She graduated with
high honors from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., and received a
law degree from Stanford.
She is the
daughter of Ann C. Shalleck and James W. Klein of Takoma Park, Md.
Until 2015, the bride’s father was the chief of the Appellate Division
of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and is now
the appellate training director. Her mother is a law professor and the
director of the Women and the Law Program at American University,
Washington College of Law.
Mr. Kedem,
38, is an assistant to the solicitor general in the Department of
Justice in Washington. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and
received a law degree from Yale.
